AutoCAD Internship

RGB Web Tech is offering an exciting AutoCAD Internship opportunity for aspiring design professionals. As an intern, you will assist in creating detailed technical drawings, layouts, and blueprints for various design projects. Ideal candidates should have a solid understanding of AutoCAD software and an interest in architectural and engineering design. This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience, exposure to industry-standard practices, and the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers or designers in creating 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD.
• Create, modify, and update engineering drawings, floor plans, electrical layouts, and other design documents.
• Prepare layouts and visual representations of designs to aid in the decision-making process.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, or project managers to understand project needs and ensure accuracy in drawings.
• Review design files for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Conduct research and assist with material selection, structural specifications, and engineering drawings.
• Maintain records of design documents and revisions in an organized manner.
• Help ensure the AutoCAD software and related tools are running efficiently.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic to intermediate understanding of AutoCAD and other drafting/design software.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail when creating technical drawings.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve design-related issues.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
• Understanding of basic engineering and architectural principles.
• Ability to manage time and complete tasks within deadlines.

Skills

• Knowledge of AutoCAD tools and commands, including 2D drafting, 3D modeling, and design layout features.
• Proficiency in other CAD software like SolidWorks, Revit, or SketchUp can be a plus.
• Strong understanding of geometry, measurement, and other mathematical concepts used in design.
• Ability to review designs meticulously and ensure there are no errors.
• Ability to think outside the box for solving design challenges.
• Written and verbal communication skills for reporting progress, discussing ideas, and giving presentations.
• Ability to work as part of a team, taking feedback and working towards project goals.
