Responsibilities
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Kotlin code for mobile applications (Android or other platforms) and back-end services.
- Work closely with senior developers, designers, and product managers to build high-quality apps and features.
- Participate in debugging, writing unit tests, and ensuring the application performs optimally across different devices and environments.
- Stay updated with the latest Kotlin features and best practices to improve application development.
- Review other team members' code, providing constructive feedback and suggestions.
- Document code and processes, ensuring smooth handovers and maintainability.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of an Agile development cycle.
- Focus on performance, security, and scalability improvements in mobile apps.
Requirements
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Kotlin programming language, especially in the context of Android or back-end development.
- Experience with Android development (via Android Studio) or other Kotlin-supported platforms.
- Basic knowledge of working with databases (SQL/NoSQL), RESTful APIs, and data storage.
- Proficiency in using Git for version control in collaborative projects.
- Ability to analyze problems and find solutions effectively.
Skills
- Understanding of Kotlin syntax, data structures, control flow, and object-oriented principles.
- Familiarity with Android SDK, UI/UX design principles, and app lifecycle.
- Knowledge of integrating third-party services and APIs (REST, JSON, etc.).
- Awareness of creating seamless and responsive user interfaces.
- Ability to write tests (JUnit) and troubleshoot code effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate well within a team.
