Responsibilities
- Assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of MySQL databases.
- Writing, optimizing, and debugging SQL queries for efficient data retrieval.
- Collaborating with developers to integrate databases with applications.
- Ensuring data integrity, consistency, and security across database systems.
- Performing database backups, restoration, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Monitoring database performance and troubleshooting issues.
- Implementing best practices for database normalization and indexing.
- Researching and staying updated on MySQL trends and advancements.
Requirements
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program (Computer Science, IT, or related field).
- Basic understanding of relational databases, SQL, and MySQL architecture.
- Familiarity with MySQL Workbench, phpMyAdmin, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of database normalization, indexing, and stored procedures.
- Understanding of database security, backup strategies, and optimization techniques.
- A portfolio or sample projects demonstrating MySQL database skills (preferred but not mandatory).
