Native App Development Internship

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, testing, and deploying native mobile applications for platforms like iOS and Android.
• Collaborate with the design team to implement user-friendly and visually appealing app interfaces.
• Write efficient and maintainable code in Swift (for iOS) or Kotlin/Java (for Android) and debug any issues in the app.
• Help in optimizing app performance, including memory management, smooth navigation, and faster load times.
• Conduct unit and UI testing to ensure the application meets quality standards and user requirements.
• Use version control tools like Git to manage and track changes in the app codebase.
• Document app functionality, features, and development processes.
• Work closely with senior developers and other team members to ensure app development aligns with project goals.
• Assist in updating apps and adding new features based on client requirements and user feedback.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of mobile app development frameworks (Swift for iOS or Kotlin/Java for Android).
• Familiarity with IDEs (Xcode for iOS, Android Studio for Android).
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integrating them into mobile apps.
• Basic understanding of mobile operating systems (iOS, Android) and their guidelines.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and come up with creative solutions.
• Ability to spot issues with user experience and address them appropriately.
• Previous experience with projects or apps built as part of coursework or personal projects (if available) is a plus.

Skills

• Knowledge of Swift (iOS) or Kotlin/Java (Android).
• Understanding of mobile design guidelines (Material Design for Android, Human Interface Guidelines for iOS).
• Experience with Git/GitHub for collaborative development.
• Ability to connect mobile applications to web services via APIs.
• Strong analytical skills for debugging and troubleshooting.
• Ability to communicate technical details clearly and collaborate in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies in mobile development.
• Ability to manage tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
