NodeJS Internship

RGB Web Tech is looking for a passionate Node.js Intern to join our backend development team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in server-side development, working with Node.js and related technologies. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of JavaScript, APIs, databases, and a strong desire to learn modern backend frameworks and cloud computing.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, testing, and deployment of server-side applications using Node.js.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support front-end applications and mobile apps.
• Work with databases like MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL to store and manage data efficiently.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, Passport.js).
• Debug and troubleshoot server-side issues to ensure smooth application performance.
• Optimize backend performance and implement best security practices.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate APIs and improve system functionality.
• Work with Express.js or other frameworks to build scalable web applications.
• Learn and implement asynchronous programming techniques (Promises, Async/Await).
• Utilize version control tools like Git and GitHub for source code management.
• Assist in writing unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Stay up-to-date with Node.js trends, best practices, and industry standards.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and project progress reporting.

Requirements and Skills

Technical Skills:

• Basic understanding of JavaScript (ES6+) and Node.js.
• Familiarity with backend frameworks like Express.js, Nest.js, or Koa.js.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, and API authentication techniques.
• Experience working with databases (MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Firebase).
• Understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
• Familiarity with server-side security concepts (CORS, CSRF, Encryption, Hashing).
• Basic knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) (Preferred).
• Experience with Git, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with WebSockets and real-time communication (Socket.io) (Preferred).
• Understanding of error handling and logging using tools like Winston or Morgan.

• Completion of Node.js-related projects, online courses, or certifications is a plus.
• Prior internship or freelance experience in backend development is beneficial but not mandatory.
