PHP Ecommerce Internship

We are seeking a PHP E-Commerce Intern to join our team at RGB Web Tech. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in developing dynamic and scalable e-commerce solutions using PHP. Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining ecommerce websites using PHP, MySQL, and frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter.
• Implement UI/UX enhancements and ensure mobile responsiveness.
• Develop and optimize PHP-based backend applications for ecommerce platforms.
• Work on database queries, indexing, and performance improvements using MySQL/MariaDB.
• Assist in integrating third-party APIs, including payment gateways like PayPal, Stripe, Razorpay, etc.
• Work with RESTful APIs to enhance platform functionality.
• Support in implementing security best practices to protect customer data.
• Optimize website speed and performance by improving code efficiency.
• Identify, debug, and fix issues in the ecommerce system.
• Conduct regular testing to ensure the website functions smoothly.
• Work with designers, content creators, and marketing teams to ensure seamless ecommerce operations.
• Document development processes, including coding standards and API integrations.
• Stay updated with the latest ecommerce trends and PHP development best practices.
• Learn about emerging technologies and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the platform.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
• Familiarity with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, or Symfony is a plus.
• Knowledge of CMS platforms like WordPress, Magento, or OpenCart is preferred.
• Understanding of ecommerce platforms, payment gateways, and API integrations.
• Basic knowledge of Git version control and deployment processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for ecommerce technology and a willingness to learn new skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular).
• Familiarity with SEO techniques for ecommerce platforms.
• Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, or Google Cloud).
• Understanding of basic UI/UX design principles.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
