Woocommerce E-Commerce Internship

We are seeking a Woocommerce E-Commerce Intern to join our team at RGB Web Tech. This internship offers a chance to work with WordPress and Woocommerce to develop customized e-commerce websites. You’ll gain hands-on experience in building and optimizing e-commerce platforms in a collaborative environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist in adding, editing, and managing products on WooCommerce stores.
• Upload product images, descriptions, and pricing details.
• Categorize products effectively for better user experience and SEO.
• Ensure product availability and accurate stock updates.
• Monitor website performance and suggest improvements for better speed and user experience.
• Identify and fix broken links, missing images, and other technical issues.
• Update plugins, themes, and WooCommerce versions as needed.
• Conduct website testing for usability and mobile responsiveness.
• Assist in keyword research and on-page SEO optimization for products and content.
• Optimize product descriptions and meta tags for better search visibility.
• Help implement content marketing strategies, including blogs and landing pages.
• Monitor and analyze website traffic using Google Analytics.
• Process and track customer orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Manage refunds, returns, and customer inquiries professionally.
• Respond to customer queries via email and live chat.
• Ensure a smooth checkout process and resolve cart abandonment issues.
• Assist in configuring and troubleshooting payment gateways (PayPal, Stripe, etc.).
• Set up and optimize shipping rules and delivery options.
• Ensure smooth transaction processing and resolve payment-related issues.
• Assist in creating and managing discount codes, coupons, and special offers.
• Support social media marketing efforts to drive traffic to the WooCommerce store.
• Help set up and manage email marketing campaigns using platforms like Mailchimp.
• Contribute to paid ad campaigns on Google Ads, Facebook, and Instagram.
• Generate sales and performance reports to track key e-commerce metrics.
• Analyze customer behavior and suggest improvements for conversions.
• Track the performance of marketing campaigns and recommend optimization strategies.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, IT, Business, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of WooCommerce, WordPress, or other e-commerce platforms.
• Familiarity with digital marketing concepts, SEO, and website optimization.
• Knowledge of payment gateways, shipping options, and order management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
• Basic knowledge of Google Analytics and Search Console is a plus.
• Previous experience with online selling platforms (Amazon, Shopify, etc.) is an advantage.

Skills Required

• Basic knowledge of WooCommerce and WordPress.
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic PHP (preferred but not mandatory).
• Familiarity with SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Yoast SEO.
• Experience with social media marketing and email marketing tools.
• Ability to handle databases, spreadsheets, and e-commerce reports.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Time management and ability to meet deadlines.
